Shannon and Southern Soul has evolved for three years and now focuses on delivering a combination of original songs with classic southern rock. Shannon Barksdale, the lead singer, is an Alabama native who transplanted in New Mexico twenty years ago. Her voice is often compared to Bonnie Raiitt. She delivers a bluesy, powerful tone that leads the band and is joined with harmonies including David Kinney, (guitar) and Collin Jenkinson. (bass)
